Fort Hood Shooting Suspect Offers No Defense     Accused Fort Hood gunman Maj. Nidal Hasan declined to put on a defense Wednesday, offering a mere three words before the court-martial ended for the day: "The defense rests."  Col. Tara Osborn, the presiding judge, then excused the jurors, who will return Thursday for closing arguments, after which they will begin their deliberations. The U.S. Army psychiatrist has admitted in court that on Nov. 5, 2009, he shot at soldiers who were getting ready to deploy to Afghanistan. Thirteen people died in the shooting, and more than 30 others were wounded.
