Judge Throws Out Two Insider-Trading Charges Against Rengan Rajaratnam

A federal judge dismissed two insider trading counts Tuesday against the younger brother of Raj Rajaratnam in the third week of his trial in Manhattan federal court. The ruling came after the government rested its case against Rengan Rajaratnam and means that the jury may only consider one remaining conspiracy count against him. The ruling, made by U.S. District Judge Naomi Buchwald, cannot be appealed.
