A federal judge in New York has chosen three high-profile, veteran lawyers to lead the litigation against General Motors Co. over economic losses tied to the company's defective ignition-switch problems. The trio of lawyers are all based on the west coast -- and all played leading roles in litigation brought against Toyota Motor Corp. over unintended acceleration.
