Government Shutdown Puts Law Student Externs on the Street

Randall Miller is a law student with time on his hands. Since mid-September, the 3L at Washington and Lee University School of Law had been spending fours day per week in an externship with the U.S. Commodities Futures Trading Commission in Washington. Then came the government shutdown.
