An attorney fee request has been slashed by a federal judge who found that the lawyers had a "de minimis" effect on the resolution of an educational dispute involving a child with an autism-spectrum disability. The judge also questioned whether the firm dragged out a proceeding before a hearing officer to secure a consent decree the firm needed to obtain a fee award.
