Don’t Blame Us For Execution Mishap, Say Oklahoma Prison Workers

There's going to be no shortage of finger-pointing following Tuesday's execution in Oklahoma. But as a state investigation into what went wrong gets underway, Oklahoma corrections workers say blame shouldn't rest with them. The corrections department "is getting a black eye for this, but it doesn't deserve it," said Sean Wallace, the head of Oklahoma Corrections Professionals, a statewide group that represents prison workers.
